Making Friendz Have A Social Life

One time folkie, Tami Hart has apparently lost her acoustic guitar, found her way into a disco and decided never to leave. Now lost in the seduction of the synthesizer and known as Making Friendz, this journeywoman musician has constructed a nine song slice of electronic temptation. Social Life is a fantastic record that sounds like it's been put together by someone who has done this for ages...not someone who kind of stumbled into it.

Social Life is a sweat drenched lo-fi disco pop record that sounds kind of like the bastard step child of Le Tigre. Rough and a bit ramshackle, the record sounds as if it were recorded with broken down synthesizers that rely on DOS operating systems to work. While that might sound bad, in all actuality, Social Life is utterly stupendous. The songs are much bigger than their production value should allow them to be and they're catchier than anything a former folk musician should ever be able to write. Making Friendz should make a lot rather easily, because they're awesome at creating dance floor jamz that are destined to make even the most hopeless individual grind away.
