Memoryhouse Of The Year

Sometimes you can judge a book by it's cover and Memoryhouse's new EP, The Year is one such occurrence. With an open window and filtered sunshine coming through, Memoryhouse's tunes are as relaxing and gorgeous as a morning sunrise. With minimal minimalism and barely there vocals, Memoryhouse seems to dream their way through this EP making barely a rattle or jangle on any of the five songs here. It is gorgeous sleep inducing stuff and I guess it makes sense then that the cover actually features a guy face planted on a bed. If Slowdive was a sleeping wall of shoegazing bliss, Memoryhouse is an Ambien fueled wall of dream pop.

The Year is awesome stuff that if you're not careful you'll miss as it wafts by. The Year isn't around for a long time, but during its short time here life is like a blissed out delusion you won’t want to end.
