The Biters Rely On Cheap Tricks

The Biters are yet another Atlanta band that has listened to ALOT of Cheap Trick. This group of power poppers are jumpy, spastic, and create songs that are so catchy that I think I just got sick from listening to them. Their seven song EP All Chewed Up is an album length blast of energetic , punked up pop songs that clobbers you over the head with massive riffs, even bigger choruses and gigantic songs that are the aural equivalent of crack.

Every song here is absolutely amazing. Seriously. Chunky riffs rebound off each other and pogoh into oblivion, synths offer sugary doses of harmony, and drums bash their way though each song. "Hold On," is perfect example of this and is pretty much a peerless power pop tune that is so close to being like a "Dream Police" that somewhere right now, Rick Nelson is blushing. All Chewed Up is like that the whole way through; one Cheap Trick hit after another. 80's influenced pop doesn't get much better than this and The Biters are masters at it.
