Tarun Nayar Travels 22 Degrees of Beatitude

Vancouver based DJ/producer Tarun Nayar takes his music out of the great white north and shifts it to the Far East on his latest album, 22 Degrees of Beatitude. This east meets west album sounds like the greatest episode of Globe Trekker I've never seen. Recorded all over the world with the goal of recording as many live sounds as possible, Nayar literally travelled from Bhutan to Tokyo. The effort he made in getting those sounds is reflected on each and every song on 22 Degrees of Beatitude and makes it a joy to listen to.

Fusing eastern and western cultures, Nayar has come up with a global record for the global community. Taking modern beats and meshing them with traditional sounds from all around the Asian continent, 22 Degrees of Beatitude never rests. From flutes and wind instruments to Tablas and sitar's, 22 Degrees of Beatitude is a class in world music theory with a fresh back beat to keep it moving. This is a record of solitude, enlightenment, and brilliant sounds. Fantastically chilled, stupendously beautiful, listening to 22 Degrees of Beatitude is like taking a mind expanding journey across Asia and getting in touch with your body and soul. This is world music for everyone from someone who's stepped away from his home and enriched his life with the hopes of enriching yours. 22 Degrees of Beatitude is awesome.
