The Radio Dept. Are So Passive Aggressive

The Radio Dept. has been kicking around for a decade or so and in that time have recorded so many great songs that you never heard of you'd almost be embarrassed to admit it. Now, thanks to their latest record, Passive Aggressive, you can be the coolest kid on the block and know each and every single the band has recorded from 2002-10. This sort of, best of collects those singles over the course of two discs and includes b-sides, a-sides, and a coolness quotient of 1000.

Passive Aggressive is a trip back in to the past from a band that constantly looked back to the past to begin with. This post-shoegazing group is/was so in love with the early 90's British scene that its power is evident in each and every one of the songs here. While the band do maintain their individuality and have a sound that is their very own, they wear their love of music and bands on their sleeve. Whether it's the St. Etienne like, "Never Follow Suit," or the distorted bliss of, "Why Won't You Talk About it," Radio Dept. prove time and time again why they’ve become so revered.

Passive Aggressive is a treasure trove of delights that will please long time fans for this records collectability and at the same time win over new listeners with its fantastic tunes. Guitar based pop music doesn't get much catchier than this and Passive Aggressive is the sort of record you'll have a hard time putting away. Nice decade guys...how about another?
