Empresarios Impress

In a world where chill out albums are more common than Starbucks locations you really have to do something different and intriguing to stand out in the crowd. That's where Empresarios comes in to play. Hailing from the Washington DC area, the Empresarios are adept at mixing diverse cultures and sounds together. This five man group, literally, take a world of influences and combine them into a personal sound that truly is all their own and their album, Sabor Tropical is a fine example of what a collective of talented musicians and DJ's can come up with given the resources.

Taking elements of downtempo, chill out, Latin, and reggaeton, Empersarios create a sun drenched world of beach vibes and relaxed times. Sabor Tropical is an island vacation from the comfort of your living room. This is the sound of the Caribbean lapping up through your speakers and when the weather is as cold as it has been, Sabor Tropical is like a much needed escape. They might hail from DC, but they sound as though they've been traversing through the Caribbean most of their lives and it's reflected on just about every song here.

Sabor Tropical is a fantastic chill out record that takes the sound of the Caribbean crams it onto a disc and leaves you clamoring for more. From the appropriately titled, "Cumbia," to the even more appropriately titled, "Siesta," Sabor Tropical does it's best to create a beautiful warm environment in which you can lose yourself for an hour or so. Empersarios does a great job of this and they clearly have created a record which is head and shoulders above the rest of the genre. So, take a siesta enjoy the Sol and love Sabor Tropical.
