Lumerians Plot A Course For Infinity

The Lumerians are probably one of the most aptly named bands I've heard lately. This is a band that positively glows with psychedelic energy and their album Transmalinnia is a crazy ride of tuned down guitars, swirling riffs, and an overwhelming sense that being weightless is the only way to live. Sounding something like Monster Magnet and Spacemen 3, The Lumerians are one tripped out bunch who seem like they're so zoned out that they might not ever come back or come down.

Transmalinnia is a cross dimensional trip through the void that ventures into sonic territory both familiar and unchartered. It's a ride through rifftastic songs and hidden melodies lost amongst the stars and it quite simply rocks. This is an awesome record of prog rock that gets so lost within its own little sphere that this record could have potentially gone on forever. One listen to the nine minute expanding world of, "Longwave," and you'll catch my drift. Repetition, massive riffs and a sense of the infinite expansion of the universe powers this band through the galaxy and with song titles like, "Xulux," and "Melting Space," it all kind of makes sense.

Transmalinnia is an amazing record of eternal space jams from the Andromeda galaxy. Epic in every sense of the word, this record is one for the ages...and heavens.
