The Cinnamon Band Are All Dressed Up

The Cinnamon Band despite their name are not spicy, nor hot, but they are quite good. In fact, their single All Dressedis the best combination of the Kings of Leon and Bruce Springsteen you are likely to ever hear. With a bit of a southern rock influence and a working class approach, the Cinnamon Band just basically kick out the jams from the get go and leave a trail of rock in their wake.

"I'm Asking You," the single's lead off track is ridiculously groovy, catchy as botchulism (sp??), and rocks beyond all rockingdom; its the best song here. From there the single slows things down a bit and gets all moody on, "Buena Vista," and then launches into a T. Rex like stomp on, "You Heard What You Wanted," and then wraps it all up in a slow ballady fashion on the slightly depressing, "Nobody But Me." It's four tracks fly by and before you know it you're hitting repeat.

Overall, All Dressed, is a fine effort that's feisty at its best and introspective at its worst. The Cinnamon Band, are clearly on to something here and if they crank it up to 11 for their next record there's no doubt in my mind that these guys could be dangerous. In the mean time, the Kings of Leon should keep an eye on their backs, because The Cinnamon Band are All Dressed up and ready to go.
