Sleeper Agent are not what you think...in fact they're so far away from that that you might as well forget what you were even thinking about. What Sleeper Agent are, is a complete massive overdose of sugary fueled power pop. This is a band that's so hyper, kinetic, and spazzy that the energy they posses could solve our long term global energy problems. Their album, Celebrasion is quite possibly one of the happiest things I've heard in the last five years.
Sounding like a band on way to much Lexapro Sleeper Agent sound like the most eternally optimistic band to ever walk the earth. Whether they are or not is totally open for debate, but I will tell you this...these guys are FUN. Every song on Celebrasion is absolutely giddy with so much nervous energy they can’t sit still. The songs here are pumped, hyper, about to explode and feel so urgent that it's as if they NEED to be played. I loved every second of this jumpy, seemingly joyous set of songs and Sleeper Agent seem like they're having the time of their life playing each one. If more music was like this, the world would be a happier (albeit more hyper) place.
Energetic, ridiculously catchy, and so sugary sweet I have a toothache, Celebrasion has to be one of the best records of 2011.
