Pena Heads Back To Peru

Minneapolis based musician/producer Cory Wong is on a mission to spread the music of Peru's coast as far and wide as possible. With his latest album, Pena Volume 2, he should come darn near close to achieving that goal. Featuring fourteen beautiful tracks that sound like songs from the Incan Gods, Pena Volume 2 is packed to the rafters with acoustic guitar work, Latin influenced percussion, seductive vocals, and warm summer breezes deep from within the Andes. This is truly fantastic stuff put together by a fine group of musicans whose emotions and heart are worn on their sleeves and these feelings pour out of each and every song here.

With just acoustic guitars, bongos, and authentic vocals Pena Volume 2 conveys the Peruvian experience so well that you can't help but fall for it. Tender songs strum their way across this album and you can almost create the scene of these musicians playing each and every song. Pena Volume 2 is emotional music and it pulls at your heart from almost the first strum to the last. Pena Volume 2 is magnificent stuff that overcomes the language barrier with simple yet gorgeous songs that rely on emotion to carry their message. You'll walk away from listening to Pena Volume 2 with a cultural experience in your heart and a desire to travel in your mind.
